Theodore “Ted” Karl Benner,  WWII Veteran, of Melrose Park and long time resident of Bellwood, age 86,passed away suddenly, August 17, 2011. Devoted husband of the late Vera nee Burgess Benner. Loving father of Carol “C.B.” (Russell) Bean and Norine Loveall. Dear brother of Ronald Benner and the late Kathy Benner. Loving friend of June Felice and very fond and devoted friend of Deloris “Dee” Wissing. Uncle and great uncle of many nieces and nephews. He worked as a pipefitter for 25 years for Navistar - International Harvester. A great lover of music and animals. He also loved to dance. A visitation at the Pedersen-Ryberg Mortuary, 435 N York Rd, Elmhurst, Sunday, August 21, 2011 from 3-9 pm where services will be held Monday, August 22, 2011 at 10 am. Interment Glen Oaks Cemetery, Hillside. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Anti Cruelty Society, 157 W. Grand Ave. Chicago, IL. 60654 would be appreciated.
