James H. Irvin, age 79, of Elmhurst, retired Vice President of Mertes Contracting Co. , Chicago, IL.,  passed away May 19, 2010. He was the beloved husband of the late Helyn R. Irvin; loving father of James Hughes “Jay” (Lori) Irvin, Kristie Lyn Brezinski and Jeffrey William (Julia) Irvin; proud grandfather of Melissa, Kevin, Eric (Erin), Matthew (Megan) ,Rachel, Timothy, Breanna and Kaylie; honored great-grandfather of Joseph and Michael; dear brother of Donald (the late Marina) Irvin.  Visitation at the Pedersen-Ryberg Mortuary 435 N.
