Clifford E. Nunemaker, 97, of Bensenville and former longtime resident of Elmhurst. Passed to Eternal Life January 29th, 2012. Loving husband of 18 years to the late Bertha, nee Mellinger and 40 years to the late Vivian, nee Grandstaff. Dear father of Richard (Jane) and the late John (survived by Sally). Dear Stepfather of Annette Lynch and Beth (George) Concar. Cherished grandfather of Stephen (Jan), Kristen (Mark) Lenhardt, Bradley (Krista), Scott, Eddy (Mae) Concar and Monica (Nicholas) Scarpino. Proud great grandfather of Jillian, Michael, Kyle and Carter Nunemaker, Alexander Lenhardt and Brady Scarpino. Fond uncle of Betty (Lou) Maurer, Joan (the late Don) Gould, Robert (Beverly) Grandstaff and the late Charles (survived by Nancy) Grandstaff and the late James Grandstaff. Clifford Nunemaker was born January 18, 1915 in Sterling, Illinois to John and Esther (nee Reitz) Nunemaker. He was a Certified Public Accountant for 39 years with Ernst & Young, Chicago. After retirement, he volunteered his time and talent as a tax return preparer in Elmhurst. Clifford has been a devoted member of the First United Methodist Church of Elmhurst since 1953. Family and Friends may visit at the Pedersen-Ryberg Mortuary, 435 N. York Rd., Elmhurst, on Thursday, Feb. 2nd, 2 PM to 8 PM and Friday, Feb. 3rd, 9:30 AM until a funeral service is conducted at 10:30 AM. Interment, following service, at Chapel Hill Gardens West Cemetery, Oakbrook Terrace.
