Our History

Our two spacious and comfortable chapels are complete with audio capabilities and a mounted flat screen TV, which are available for use during the visitation and/or service.  With a newly remodeled lounge on the main floor, updated bathrooms, and a new beautifully tiled hallway, we are here to provide you with the highest level of service. Pedersen Ryberg is a handicap friendly facility with ground level entrance on the West side of the building.

  • Tom  Suh

    Tom Suh, Funeral Director

    Tom Chung-Il Suh has been serving as the President of the Korean American Association of Chicago since 2013. Tom has been a licensed funeral director and embalmer since 1996. He received his license after graduating from Worsham College of Mortuary Science in Wheeling. Tom, along with his wife Sue, have two sons and a daughter. Tom and Sue currently attend Hebron Church. Due to his affiliation with the Korean American Association of Chicago, he has had the opportunity to meet with the President of South Korea on many occasions. Tom has a desire to see all Korean Americans succeed in every aspect of their lives. He is an avid golfer, runs marathons, and enjoys traveling.

  • Siobhán Regan

    Siobhán Regan, Funeral Director

    Siobhán Regan hails from County Mayo in the West of Ireland. She has lived and worked in the Chicagoland area for almost a decade. Siobhán has been working within the Funeral Service Industry since 2013, and is passionate about ensuring the dignity and respect of all those she works with. She graduated with an Associates Degree from Worsham College of Mortuary Science in 2015 and since then has accelerated her career to become a Licenced Funeral Director and Embalmer in the State of Illinois. Her background and training stemmed from Ireland, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree from the National University of Ireland, Galway in 2011 with Anatomy as her chosen major.

    Siobhán has a broad experience in the Funeral Service Industry. Her integral focus is upon trust, respect and satisfaction of the families she works with, and ensures that open communication is key in all of her interactions. Siobhán is committed to safeguarding that peace, comfort and sensitivity for the bereaved is at the forefront of all her client activity. Those who work with Siobhán always be assured that integrity, respect, and compassion will be part of everything she does.

    A well-known face in her neighborhood, Siobhán thrives on customer centricity. She managed an Irish bar called Tin Whistle on the Northwest side of the city for two years and has developed a strong rapport with her local and Irish community.
    In her spare time, Siobhán focuses on mental health and wellness activities and contributes to deserving causes as a result. This past year in October 2021, having battled with a chronic condition which she refused to let influence her life and activities, she successfully ran and completed the Chicago marathon. She raised $10,000 in aid of The Arthritis Foundation, a cause close to her heart.
    She enjoys travelling and listening to music/podcasts. She stays active by attending ballet classes, running and walking with her beloved dog, Rua. Siobhán is a strong willed, kind, thoughtful and generous individual who prides herself on her Irish heritage and strong work ethic.

  • Samantha D. Raucci

    Samantha D. Raucci, Funeral Director

    Samantha Raucci is a Licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer from Barrington, Il. She began her journey in funeral service in 2016 as a wake attendant and graduated from Worsham College in 2018. After graduation, Samantha moved to Madison, Wisconsin, where she served her apprenticeship, and received her Wisconsin Funeral Director's license. She received her Illinois Funeral Director's license in April of 2021 and returned to Illinois in June of that same year to be closer to her family.

    Prior to deciding on a career in funeral service, Samantha was a journalist, worked in jewelry sales, and was a pastry chef. To this day, she continues to enjoy baking and decorating cakes for friend and family celebrations.

    During her time as a Worsham student, Samantha took a brief leave of absence to participate in the Disney College Program in Orlando, FL. For several months, she was a Cast Member at the Walt Disney World Resort, providing her with valuable job experience that has aided her success in the funeral industry.

    In her free time, Samantha enjoys traveling with her fiancé, Eddie, ice skating, pin collecting, and counting down the days until Halloween.

    Samantha is delighted to continue to serve families and provide personalized and meaningful service to members of the Mt. Prospect and surrounding communities.

  • Bailey Butterfield

    Bailey Butterfield, Funeral Director

    Bailey Butterfield was born and raised in Rockford, Illinois, but has called Chicago her home since 2007. Bailey graduated from Worsham College of Mortuary Science in 2017 and is a licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer. She has spent the last five years dedicating herself to helping families in their time of need.

    Prior to entering the funeral industry, Bailey worked as a hairstylist in various salons on the north side of Chicago. Bailey has maintained her beautician's license and continues to cut and color hair in her free time. Additionally, when time allows, she volunteers her time cutting hair at Misericordia, a home for individuals with developmental disabilities.

    In her free time, Bailey loves spending time with her husband & their miniature aussiedoodle Bobot. She loves to travel, to collect inordinate amounts of houseplants and Lego sets, and always strives to find time to bury her nose in a good book.

    Bailey is grateful for the opportunity to serve the Chicago and suburban communities, and always strives to be a light in dark and challenging times.

  • Tyra L. Poindexter

    Tyra L. Poindexter, Des Plaines Location Manager - Funeral Director

    TYRA L. POINDEXTER, Manager Funeral Director Tyra Poindexter is a Licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer in the State of Illinois, who has more than nine years’ experience in the funeral service industry. She is a member of the Illinois Funeral Directors Association (IFDA) and the Cook County Funeral Directors Association (CCFDA). She began her journey by actively serving as a funeral assistant in an Evanston, Illinois funeral home during her senior year of high school.

    She attended Evanston Township High School where she was an honor student, an Evanston NAACP and Chessmen Unity Scholar. Upon graduating high school, she went on to attend Southern Illinois University Carbondale (SIUC) receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in Mortuary Science and Funeral Service. As a student at SIUC, Tyra was a member of the Dean’s List, Chair of Gamma Beta Phi National Honor Society, Chair of the College of Applied Sciences and Arts Diversity and Inclusivity Committee, Treasurer for Sigma Phi Sigma Business Organization, and a Residence Hall Assistant.

    Tyra received collegiate scholarships from the Egyptian Funeral Directors Association, Pettett Funeral Home, and Don Hertz Funeral Service. Tyra is dedicated, patient, and honest. In her free time, she enjoys writing, reading, listening to music, and participating in sports. She is known for her hard work, commitment, warm demeanor, positive mindset, and her sense of humor.

    Alexandra is a welcome addition to our family. She is a natural at helping people feel comfortable. Alex is energetic, compassionate and sincere with everything she does. Alexandra graduated from Worsham College of Mortuary Science.

    Bill Conlon, Funeral Director

    Bill has served the Chicagoland community for almost 50 years. He was born and raised in Iowa. He came to Chicago to fullfill he dreams of being a funeral director. Bill has been with the firm for over 20 years. He is compassionate and dedicated to the families he serves. Bill is always caring and his gentle nature has been a comfort to many families in their time of need. Bill enjoys movies and theatre.
