Barbara A. Johnson Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Johnson, Barbara A. (nee Willhamer), 80, of Oak Park, formerly of Golf, Elmhurst, and Elmwood Park. Barbara was the beloved wife of the late Kenneth J. Johnson. She was preceded in death by her sister Roberta and brother in law Ronald Felde. She was the aunt of Steven (Nancy) Felde, Jeffrey Felde and the late Timothy Felde and the great-aunt of five. With the great love of her life, Ken, she traveled all over the U.S., always taking the long way and enjoying all the true slices of Americana. On these trips, she was always on the lookout for unique gifts for just the right person. Although not blessed with children of her own, Barbara's joy in others and her huge capacity for love made her an adoptive aunt for many of her friend's children. Aunt Barb's devotion to all of her nieces and nephews kept their relationships strong throughout her life. Visitation Saturday April 16, 2016 from 10:00 a.m. until the time for the celebration of Barb's life at 12 noon at the Pedersen-Ryberg Mortuary, 435 N. York St., Elmhurst. Interment private. In lieu of flowers, memorials will be appreciated to Barb's favorite charities: Greater Chicago Food Depository, Disabled American Veterans (DAV.ORG), Habitat for Humanity, or St. Jude Children's Hospital.
