Clyde Kessel

November 18, 1945 - July 17, 2019

Clyde Kessel was born on November 18, 1945 in Gary, Indiana to Carl A. Kessel and Hazel (nee Cartwright) Brown.  He passed away on Wednesday, July 17, 2019 in Fort Myers, Florida. Clyde is survived by his children Bruce (Debbie) Kessel, Cathy Kessel, Richard Kessel, Caroline Johnson, Carl (Alice) Kessel, Larry (Mary Ann) Smith, and Terry (Mike) Diamond; his grandchildren Keith, Alyssa, Kayleigh, Jacob (fiancé Sofija), Luke, Carl, Marissa, Suzanne, Erin, Michael, Kelly, Megan, and Alexis; his great-grandchildren Trislynn, Aubrey, Amayah, and Evelyn; his brother Ronald (Joan) Kessel; nephews Ron Jr. (Julie) Kessel and Shawn (Carol) Kessel; niece Lena Mays; great-nephews Caleb and Hector; great-nieces Hannah, Samantha, Chloe, Katie, and Leanna; special friends Carol Bishop and Dorothy Bauman; and everyone at the Palms of Fort Myers. He is preceded in death by the love of his life, his wife Eileen O'Brien, his grandson Christopher, and by his parents. Visitation will be Thursday, July 25, 2019 from 3 pm until 8 pm.  Funeral Mass will be Friday, July 26 at 9:15 am (meet at church 9 am) at Visitation Catholic Church, 779 S. York St., Elmhurst, Illinois proceeding to Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetery for burial.
