David Allen Spencer Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

David Allen Spencer, 57, of Villa Park, died March 15, 2014 at home.He was born in Elmhurst, Illinois on September 23, 1956 to Robert Joseph and Therese (Jindrich) Spencer. David attended York High School and lived his entire life in the Elmhurst area. David Spencer is survived by his three beloved sons: Kyle, Michael, and Alex Spencer as well as siblings: Kathleen Spencer Cooter (Robert); Daniel (Sophia); Claudia Spencer Gregory (Steve); Andrew (Pamela); step-sisters Dawn Hoofnagle (Larry) and Dina Colin (Keith); and step-mother, Dolores Spencer and many other relatives and friends. The memorial service will be held at Pedersen-Ryberg Mortuary, 435 North York Street, Elmhurst, Illinois 60126 on Sunday, March 23, from 2:00 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. A short service of remembrance will begin at 3:30 p.m. It was often said that social gatherings didn't really begin until David arrived. He loved sports, in particular the Chicago White Sox - 2005 was so sweet- and the Bears. David enjoyed reading history, sipping a great cup of coffee, and most of all, spending summer vacations with his three sons at the Wisconsin Dells. All of us will sorely miss David's wry wit, intelligence and his love of family. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that monetary donations be designated to Kathleen Spencer Cooter who is establishing a fund for his sons' education.
