Donald J. Stramel, 88, of Round Lake, Illinois, formerly of Elmhurst, passed away Wednesday, May 5, 2021.  He was born November 21, 1932 in Chicago, Illinois, to Joseph and Frieda (nee Kofsky) Stramel. Donald is survived by his children Tom (the late Maria) Stramel, Dave Stramel, Rick (Chris) Stramel, and Linda (Dominick) Fedele; his grandchildren Nick (Tricia) Stramel, Dan (Vicky) Stramel, Tim (Tamara) Stramel, Allison Stramel, Laura (Luke) Muriello, Erica (Alexis) Martinez, Ryan (Kendra) Stramel, Joey Stramel, Ashley Stramel, Michael Stramel, Stephanie Stramel, Jacob Stramel, Joe Fedele, and Tom Fedele; many great grandchildren; and his beloved dog JJ. He is preceded in death by his wife Shirley (nee Cuzzo) Stramel; his son Terry (survived by Joan) Stramel; his granddaughter Alyssa Stramel; and his parents. Visitation Thursday, May 13, 2021, from 3 pm until 8 pm, at Pedersen Ryberg Funeral Home, 435 N. York Street, Elmhurst, Illinois. Funeral Service Friday, May 14, at 11 am, at the funeral home, with visitation starting at 10 am. Interment at Maryhill Catholic Cemetery in Niles, Illinois. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, masks are required.  Attendance is limited to 50 people at any one time.  No food or drink allowed.
