Harold W. Graunke, age 93, Veteran US Navy WWII; lifelong resident of Elmhurst; beloved husband to the late Maxie for 64 years; loving father of Dean W. (Jan), Rande H., Wade C. (the late Janet) and Diane M. James Oberle; proud grandfather of Wade C. Jr. (Erika), Marie J., Aaron W., Daniel J. (Jennifer), Brianne M. (Christopher) Felchlia, Danielle Oberle and Joshua Oberle; honored great grandfather of Myles X. Graunke and Daniel W. Marvin; dear brother of Audrey (Donald) Gronert and the late Vernon (the late Jean) Graunke. Harold was a lifelong member of Immanuel Lutheran Church volunteering as a Paper Roller and playing in the church Dart League. He was a retired photo engraver for Lake Shore Photo Engraving and the Chicago Sun Times. Visitation at the Pedersen Ryberg Mortuary 435 N. York St., Elmhurst, on Friday, June 20, 2014 from 3 to 9 p.m. Lying in state Saturday, June 21, 2014 from 10 am until time of service 11 am at Immanuel Lutheran Church 142 E. Third St. Elmhurst, Il 60126. Interment with Military Funeral Honors to follow at Elm Lawn Cemetery, Elmhurst. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Immanuel Lutheran Church appreciated.
