Lillian June Ray Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Lillian June Ray, nee McCluskey, age 93 at rest July 14, 2016. Born on June 13, 1923 in Esmond, South Dakota June joined the Navy on August 19, 1943 Married Leonard Ray while they were both in the Navy, on November 3, 1944. They had four children, Leonard, (Susan), Cheryl (Charles West), Randall, Gregory. Preceded in death by her husband Leonard, daughter Cheryl, son Randall, grandson Scott, brother Carol, and brother Harry. June has one surviving brother Charles McCluskey. Grandchildren: Scott Ray, Lisa Ray Hedgepeth, (Roger), Jessica Ray Elliott, (Mark), Heather West Villarreal, (David), Rob West (Angela), Jennifer Ray Tsanakas (Diego), Kimberly Ray Jones (Rick) Great-grandchildren: Austin Villarreal, Alyssa Villarreal, Jacob Hedgepeth, Lucas Hedgepeth, Diego Tsanakas, Jr., Riley Jones, Hunter Jones, Maxim Elliott, Elena Elliott, Dylan West, Justyn West. June taught grade school for over 25 years. Her Christmas present to each of her students was a handmade crocheted winter hat. She loved to play cards, her favorite games were pinochle and 3-13. She also loved poetry. She had a special place in her heart for her "Lunch Bunch Group". Visitation at the Pedersen Ryberg Mortuary, 435 N. York St., Elmhurst on Monday, July 18, 2016, from 10:00 a.m. until time of Service 12:00 Noon. Interment with Military Honors at Mount Emblem Cemetery, Elmhurst, IL. For info 630-834-1133
