Mary Ellen Loeffler, nee Bender, age 85, of Elmhurst; wife of the late Lester J. "Bud" Loeffler, Jr. and beloved companion of Jim Lettsome; loving mother of John Lester Loeffler, Laura Effie (Jim Jensen) Loeffler Wood and Gary William (Maddie Johnson) Loeffler; proud grandmother of Mark, Alicia and Little Johnnie; Honored great-grandmother of Emianna, Hope and Cali; dear sister of the late William Douglas, Charles John, Richard Oliver, Carlton Frank, Robert Norris, Thomas Windfield, Raymond Louis, Earl Frederick and Calvin Walter Bender; cherished sister in law of Jane Morris Bender; adored aunt of many nieces and nephews and great neighbor and friend to many. Mary Ellen will also be remembered for her love of birds, animals and nature. Visitation at the Pedersen Ryberg Mortuary, 435 N. York St., Elmhurst, on Monday, July 7, 2014 from 3 to 9 p.m. and where services will be held on Tuesday, July 8, 2014 at 10 a.m. Entombment Chapel Hill Gardens West Cemetery.
