Richard B. Paaren, March 28, 1937  -  January 1, 2021. Beloved husband of Gail, nee Fuller; loving father of Robert (Loretta) Paaren, Gary (Michael Roman) Paaren and the late Gregg Paaren; proud grandfather of Kyle Paaren, Alan Paaren, Alicia (David) Horenberger and Keith (Olivia Doering) Paaren; honored  great grandfather of Austin, Jack, Alex, Dominick, Sloane and Avery. Dear brother of Don Comfort and the late Robert Paaren;  fond brother in law of Pam Restrepo, William Fuller, Jim Fuller and the late Lois (survived by John) Van Der Molen.  Family and friends are invited to attend Rick's visitation will be held  on January 7, 2021 between 10:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. at the Pedersen Ryberg Funeral Home, 435 N. York St., Elmhurst.  Funeral Services will take place  at 12:00 p.m. in the funeral home but are limited to immediate family members only due to Covid restrictions. Others must stay outside. Interment services with Military Funeral Honors will follow at Queen of Heaven Cemetery Interment Chapel and  are limited to 10 people. The family encourages donations to Alzheimer's Association in lieu of flowers (alz.org).  Please note due to Covid restrictions only 10 people will be allowed in the chapel at a time.  Masks are required.  The Paaren family truly appreciates your coming to pay respects, but please be prepared to wait to visit with the family and honor Rick.
