Robert Edwin Swe of DuPage County, IL died on Thursday, June 16, 2016 at 83 years old. His residence at death was Villa Park, IL. He was born October 15, 1932 in Chicago, IL to his parents Lydia Widlund Swe and Robert A. Swe. Proceeded in death by his sister Alice Swe Meise (spouse Tim Meise). In 1956 Robert married Evelyn Reschke (Swe) in Ely, Nevada. They had four children; Kimberly Swe Bischoff (spouse Robert Bischoff), Debra Swe Clegg (spouse Jon Clegg), Robert Gordon Swe, Mark Edwin Swe. He was the beloved Grandfather of Jennifer Bischoff, Jeremy Bischoff (spouse Shaunna Anaman Bischoff), Janelle Bischoff, Carley Clegg, Gabriella Swe Sorenson, (spouse Adam Sorenson), Elisabeth Swe, Faith Swe, Kaitlyn Swe, Megan Swe, Great Grandfather to Cheyenne Bischoff. He blessed his family and friends through his love, strength and energy. He served four years, with the U.S. Air Force 509th Bomb Wing. A proud member of the pipefitter union for 47 years. He loved his 1940 Ford coup, worked time trials for Andy Granatelli at the Indy 500 race and was a huge fan of NASCAR Races. He enjoyed sharing his love of the outdoors through camping, horseback riding and swimming with his family and friends. Wake and Funeral Service to be held Tuesday, June 21st at Trinity Lutheran Church, 1101 Kimberly Way, Lisle, IL. Wake will be held from 10:00 am until 11:00 am.
