Susan J. Madden, 62, of Elmhurst, Illinois passed away Friday, October 2, 2020. She was born January 22, 1958 to Frank and Frances (nee Tomsic) Jankowski in Oak Park, Illinois. Susan is survived by her children Terry (Tracy) Madden and Julie Madden; her siblings Jack Jankowski, Tom Jankowski, Carol Crawford, and Richard (Pam) Jankowski; her brother-in-law Tom Novotny; her aunt Eva Tomsic; her nephews Sean Crawford and Neil Crawford; and her great-niece Zoey Crawford. She is preceded in death by her parents; her brother Robert Jankowski; and by her beloved dogs Rusty, Sadie, and Mr. Darcy. Susan was a lifelong artist.  She loved music and playing her piano.  She was very dedicated to animals and the preservation of nature. Visitation will be Friday, October 9, 2020 from 9 am until time of service at 11 am at Pedersen Ryberg Funeral Home, 435 N. York Street, Elmhurst. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the ASPCA at aspca.org or to the Wildlife Conservation Society at wcs.org. due to Covid restrictions, masks and social distancing are required.  Occupancy is limited to 50 people at any one time.
